These terms govern your use of the Polelo Trading Academy website, member portal and trading journal platform. By applying for membership or using the site, you accept them.
The Academy provides trading education: courses, written material, live mentorship sessions, a community and a trading journal tool. That is the entirety of what you are buying.
This is the most important section on the page, so we will be blunt.
Trading carries substantial risk. Most people who attempt it lose money. You can lose more than you expect, and past performance never predicts future results. Every trading decision you make is yours alone, and you are responsible for its outcome. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Membership is by application. We may accept or decline any application at our discretion, and we are not obliged to give detailed reasons. Submitting an application does not create a membership, and no payment is due until an application is accepted.
We issue payment instructions only once your application is accepted. Access is activated after we manually verify your proof of payment. We accept:
Prices are in Botswana Pula and may change for new or renewing members, never mid-period. Online card checkout is not available, and we hold no card details.
Memberships do not auto-renew. We cannot charge you automatically, so when a period ends it simply ends and continuing is an active choice you make. Keep your payment confirmation — it is what we reconcile against.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
All course material, videos, documents, worksheets and branding remain our property. Your membership grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning.
You may not copy, record, republish, resell, share or redistribute any material, or use it to build a competing product. Doing so ends your membership immediately, without refund.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, any account other than your own, or any system connected to it; interfere with or disrupt the service; or use it to distribute malicious code. Beyond ending your membership, conduct of that kind may be an offence under Botswana's Cybersecurity Act, 2025, and we will report it where appropriate.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please tell us at info@polelotradingacademy.ac.bw before disclosing it elsewhere. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue to us in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
In the community and live sessions: be civil, do not give financial advice to other members, do not promote your own services, brokers or referral schemes, and do not share other members' information. We may remove anyone who makes the space worse for everyone else.
Your journal entries, notes and screenshots remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them back to you within the platform. We do not publish or sell your data.
Selected free material is available after you opt in to our WhatsApp community. Opting in gives you community updates, marketing messages and free content only — it does not give access to paid academy content.
Opting in is optional, always by an unticked box, and has no effect on whether your application is accepted. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, leaving the group, or contacting us. What we do with your number, and how consent is recorded, is set out in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
In any WhatsApp group, your number and display name may be visible to other members. That is how WhatsApp works, not a choice we make.
We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, abuses the platform or its members, or attempts to compromise the service. Where the breach is serious — sharing a login, redistributing course material, or attacking the platform — no refund is due.
Where we close or suspend your account without a serious breach on your part, we refund the unused portion of your membership pro rata, as set out in our Refund Policy.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Academy. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to members, and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, and the courts of Botswana have jurisdiction over any dispute. Please talk to us first — most things are resolved with an email.
Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or asks you to waive any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2018 or any other law of Botswana, and no clause here should be read as attempting to. Where a term of ours conflicts with a right the law gives you, the law prevails. If any single clause is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
Your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is written to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Act, 2024.
